I was a greeter at the 8:00 mass with Mary. She was a wonderful person and very devoted to the lord.

Michael and I loved Mary and were so pleased to see her at the Olive Garden on her 90th birthday. We chanced upon her with her friend and then sat and chatted awhile. We always saw her taking her daily walk; that is when she and I talked. She was rather surprised by my big Italiano Spononi Sophia who liked her very much,( I am not sure Mary was a dog lover, but she endured Sophia's investigations.) When I drove by her home at night I loved seeing the her entry way light shining through the window, and I felt so sad when it no longer was on. Her beautiful pink flowers in her window baskets added such loveliness, too. One of our best memories is when she shared her familly history book with us. My husband is undergoing radition which prevents us from attending her mass this morning. But we are sure the God has opened the gates of heaven, as she kept her faith shining just like the light in her entryway. She will be missed very much.
